Celebrating the heritage and culture of North-East England through traditional illustration 

Lucy's work is focused on Northern social and cultural heritage with a keen interest in the Arts and Crafts movement, Northern artists and so-called 'outsider art'. 

In terms of research, key areas of interest are the history and physicality of printed objects, Northern working-class culture and the democratisation of art.

As part of her creative practice, she has worked as a community artist with various cultural institutions in the area, including North East Museums, The Laing Art Gallery and schools in the region. 

She has considerable experience of delivering commissions and creative response projects and workshops across all age groups in both educational settings and museums/art galleries. 

Lucy regularly exhibits work in the North-East and beyond.
